DESCRIPTION

Excellent mini or gherkin cuke which can be picked either at the midget size or small pickle stage and processed. 24" semi-vining compact plants set masses of scrumptious sweet, crisp little black-spined cukes! 10-12"H vigorous plants produce about 20-25 fruits. Best picked 2-4" long. They are delectable raw, sliced, processed and adds a dash of pizazz to any dish! Can be grown in the garden as well as in containers.

CLASSIFICATIONS
HYBRID

Created from a controlled method of pollination in which the pollen of two different species or varieties is crossed by human intervention. Typical F1 varieties are deliberately created to breed a desired trait. Gardeners who use hybrid plant varieties usually purchase new seed every year, however, over several years the seed could eventually be used for open pollination

MONOECIOUS

Cucumbers will grow both female and male flowers. Such cucumber plants do not need another cultivar cucumber plant for pollination. They require bees, other insects or wind, however, to spread their pollen from their male flowers to their female flowers.
