DESCRIPTION

30 days for baby greens; 50 days mature. First lettuce since 1985 to become an All-American Selection! New oakleaf type looks as good as it tastes with ruffled bright green leaves in densely packed whorls. At 10-12" high and wide, it is compact enough to grow in a container, raised bed or garden areas. Very slow bolting. Keeps its texture and flavor in the garden even in unseasonable heat without a trace of bitterness! Exceptional for salads and sandwiches. Cut-and-come again variety - Pick just what you want and let new leaves grow to replace the old or let the head mature.

CLASSIFICATIONS
OPEN POLLINATED

Pollination occurs by insect, bird, wind, humans, or other natural mechanisms. Because there are no restrictions on the flow of pollen between individuals, open-pollinated plants are more genetically diverse. However, as long as pollen is not shared between different varieties within the same species, then the seed produced will remain true-to-type year after year.
